Corey S. Ribotsky
Managing Member - Head Portfolio ManagerCorey S. Ribotsky is the Managing Member of The NIR Group, LLC, an Alternative Asset Management Firm that strives for superior long term performance in a limited number of absolute strategies. Mr. Ribotsky has been investing in public companies since 1992. Mr. Ribotsky graduated with a BA from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and attended The New York University, Leonard N. Stern Graduate School of Business for an MBA in Finance and Operations. Mr. Ribotsky also attended Brooklyn Law School. Prior to becoming a member of NIR, Mr. Ribotsky was a member of the investment management firm, The Rainmaker Group, LLC located in Red Bank, New Jersey.
Mr Ribotsky is involved in multiple charitable endeavors. He is a member of the Board of Trustees and The President of the Children’s Medical Fund of New York, The Children’s Medical Fund of New York (CMF) ensures children on Long Island and in the New York metropolitan area have access to the best available pediatric care by raising funds to help build and equip medical facilities and sponsor vital programs at Schneider Children’s Hospital. He has recently been elected to the Board of Trustees of The North Shore/LIJ University Health System. Mr Ribotsky is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Onyx and Breezy Foundation. He also supports The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, The Heather on Earth Foundation providing music therapy to pediatric patients, Sunrise Day Camp for children with cancer and Camp Jahre for inner city underprivileged kids.
Howard Tanney
Managing DirectorHoward Tanney is Managing Director of The NIR Group, LLC. He brings close to three decades of extensive financial market knowledge, specializing in the energy sector. Mr. Tanney also brings operational experience to the NIR Group, LLC. He was a board member and executive board member of the New York Mercantile Exchange. Mr. Tanney is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant. He earned his Bachelor's in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Baruch College, The City University of New York (CUNY). He also holds a M.B.A. in Finance from St. John's University.
Yoel Goldfeder, General Counsel
Specializing in PIPE transactions and reverse mergers, Mr. Goldfeder has represented both small and large companies throughout his legal career dealing with mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate financing, including both public and private securities offerings. Mr. Goldfeder was previously a member of the corporate and securities department of Sichenzia, Ross, Friedman, Ference LLP one of the most active PIPE issuer law firms in the United States. Mr. Goldfeder obtained his Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University Law Center, where he earned a CALI award for his course work in Negotiating Mergers and Acquisitions, after receiving a BA in Accounting and a B.S. in Political Science from Brooklyn College. He is admitted to practice law in New York and is an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Baruch College, teaching undergraduate courses in business law and business organizations.
